Protecting with purpose
Community involvement is at the core of our mission. Jason's volunteer journey at Mel Trotter Ministries began during COVID-19, managing food donations and organizing the pantry. He started Grey Dog with that spirit of service at its core, and the team now volunteers as often as they can, from furniture pickups to preparing the Easter Community Meal and assembling blessing bags at Christmas.
That same commitment shows up in our security work across low-income and supportive housing in Grand Rapids, alongside partners the community knows and trusts. This is prevention through connection in practice.
